Overview

We’re offering one month’s premium free on new eligible policies (“Campaign”).

To get your first month premium free, apply for a new eligible AIA policy between 1 April 2025 and 30 June 2025 and have the policy issued by 31 July 2025.

AIA Starter Plans are not included in this Campaign however they continue to receive the first month free at any time.

Eligible policies are:

• AIA Living – Personal
• AIA Living – Business
• AIA Private Health
• AIA Private Health Plus
• AIA Cancer Care
• AIA Start-Up Income Protection

Please note that voluntary group AIA Living products are included in this promotion.

The free month's premium will be credited to your policy within the first two months of your policy being taken out and is based on one full month's premium for that policy and all qualifying benefits under that policy, as calculated at the time the policy is issued. One month’s premium free 2025 Campaign

Terms and Conditions

1. This Campaign is run by AIA New Zealand Limited, with its registered office at 74 Taharoto Road, Takapuna, Auckland.
2. For the purposes of this Campaign, an eligible policy is:
   1. AIA Living – Personal;
   2. AIA Living – Business;
   3. AIA Private Health;
   4. AIA Private Health Plus;
   5. AIA Cancer Care;
   6. AIA Start-Up Income Protection; or
   7. Standalone Top Ups are considered an eligible policy for the purpose of this Campaign where there is a minimum $15 per month premium. 
      ("Eligible Policy")
      All other AIA policies are excluded from the Campaign.
3. To receive one month’s premium free under this Campaign, the following criteria apply:
   1. An application must be submitted to AIA for a new Eligible Policy between 1 April 2025 and 30 June 2025 ("Campaign Period"); and
   2. The resulting policy must be issued by 31 July 2025 (“Issuance Cut-off”);
      ("Campaign Criteria")
4. For the avoidance of doubt, AIA Starter Plans are not part of the Campaign. Further information on Starter Plans is available at www.aia.co.nz/starterplans.
5. AIA reserves the right to exclude customers from the Campaign in situations where they have not met the Campaign Criteria as set out in these terms and conditions.
6. Customers will be credited with one month’s premiums on new Eligible Policies. Customers paying monthly will have their first month waived, whereas customers paying weekly or fortnightly will have these regular payments waived for the first 30 days. Customers paying quarterly or annually upfront will be debited 2 and 11 months (respectively) once their policy is issued. In all cases the free one month premium will be credited to the customer's policy within the first two months of their Eligible Policy being taken out and will be based on the full monthly premium for the Eligible Policy, calculated at the time of issue of the policy.
7. Customers who pay annually upfront will be debited eleven months rather than twelve and the 5% discount for paying annually will also be applied to the free one month premium. This will be paid into the bank account held on the policy details or to a nominated bank account if there is no bank account specified on the policy within the first two months of the Eligible Policy being taken out.
8. Where a partial premium payment is set up to align with other payment dates, a credit equal to one month’s premium will be applied to the Eligible Policy when it is issued. The credit will be applied to the partial payment, and the balance of the credit will be applied to the first full premium.
9. Where the Eligible Policy/Policies are the only policies held with AIA, the monthly policy fee will also be waived for the free month.
10. Other than for customers who pay annually upfront, the free premium amount cannot be refunded. For all customers the free premium amount cannot be exchanged for cash.
11. Vitality Membership fees are excluded from this Campaign.
12. AIA reserves the right to vary, suspend or terminate this Campaign and these terms and conditions at any time.
13. To the extent permitted by law, none of AIA, or any of their respective directors, employees, and/or agents shall be liable for any claims, damages, injuries, costs and expenses suffered, sustained or incurred (including but not limited to indirect or consequential losses) as a result of, arising out of, or in any way connected with, this Campaign.
14. All personal information collected by AIA is for the purpose of administering this Campaign, an application for AIA insurance, and the subsequent insurance policy issued. This information will be held by AIA at its head office, and by data storage providers which include related companies and cloud based storage providers (who may be in New Zealand or overseas).
